Safe Social Online, Inc. is a social media networking web-based company that helps avoids exposure to unwanted or offensive content, provides age-appropriate content, block posts that violate community standards, refuses to sell their personal information and browsing habits to advertisers, set time limits for all users, offer help from public service providers within the user’s postal zip code.

Our mission is to be clear and transparent about how and why we collect and use personal information and to empower you to control your personal information.

• Demographic Information: Age, gender, race, education level, income information, occupation, marital status, and information about your household/family status such as the presence of children/child age ranges, household size, own/rent indicator, and the length of time at your residence.

• Safe Social Online, Inc. may offer you the opportunity to register for a print subscription, sign up for a newsletter, register on our platform services, ask us for additional information, or purchase products from us. When you do that, (our “Services”) may also collect:

• Contact Information: Your full legal name, phone number, postal address, personal valid ID, date of birth and e-mail address.

• Account/Registration Information: Username and password, reminder questions and answers, subscription and account numbers, and communication preferences such as which newsletters you would like to receive (when you provide that information to us).

• Premium Account/Payment Information: Billing address, shipping address, credit card or bank account number, expiration date, and card verification number (when you provide that information to us).

From You; Some of Safe Social Online and affiliates and associated service providers collect your contact, registration/account information, payment information, and any other personal information when you provide it to us on the services we provide. When you make a purchase on the services, we also retain a record of your purchases and order history.

Who Does Safe Social Online, Inc. Share Personal Information With?

Safe Social Online, Inc. will only share your personal information with: Public Service Providers (PSP) in the event of a life threating communication is attempted or to offer help with substance or behavioral addictions (including addictions associated with excessive social media use).

Your data protection rights under GDPR (General Data Protection Rights, if you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you do have certain data protection rights. Safe Social Online seeks to take reasonable steps that will allow you to correct, amend delete, or limit the use of your personal information. We do not sell your personal data or click habits to advertisers.

• Right to Be Free from Discrimination: You have the right to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

• Right to be Provided: You have the right to ask us to provide you with a copy of the information we have on you in a readable format telling you what information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you.

• Right to Access and Correct or Update: You have the right to access, update or delete the information we store on you, and you can delete or change your personal data within your account settings within your account.

• Right to Request Deletion: You have the right to ask us to delete the personal information we collect or maintain about you.

• Right to Withdraw: You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where Safe Social Online Inc relies on your consent to process your personal information.

NOTE: To have an active account on any of Safe Social Online Inc products, your personal contact information must be stored and retained to support the mission statement and purpose of Safe Social Online Inc.

Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. You do have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about collection and use of your personal data.

If you are in the U.S. and wish to exercise your rights:

• Information and Deletion Requests. To exercise your right Safe Social Online, Inc. will need to verify that you are who you say you are before we delete or share personal information with you. You may need to provide us with a copy of your utility bill so that we can verify your identity. After you submit your request, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail and will need to click on the link provided.

If you are a postal subscriber, you will need to confirm your subscription information in order to verify your request. Some personal contact information must be retained to support Safe Social Online, Inc. structure.

• Authorized Agents. You can also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If you use an authorized agent, please include written permission that you have designated that agent to make the request, or proof of the agent ‘s legal power of attorney documents.

Nielsen’s pixel may be in some of the ads on our Services and will record whether or not you viewed the ad. Nielsen uses the data it collects to create ratings reports for advertisers and publishers. Opt Out of Interest-Based Advertising.

We follow the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (“DAA”) Self-Regulatory Principles (“Principles”) for Online Behavioral advertising.

• To opt out of our use of your website viewing data to serve interest-based advertising on the websites of other companies and e-mail newsletters, visit the DAA’s Consumer Choice Page.

• You can also click on the Ad Choices located in the footers of our webpages and navigate to the consumer opt-out form.

• You may be required to opt out separately from each computer or device and browser that you use to access our Services, and if you clear your cookies, you will need to repeat the opt-out process over again.

Mobile App Advertising and Tracking.

Some of our services may collect personal information from your mobile device, including unique advertising identifiers and the names and IDs of apps you have installed, as well as information about how you use our mobile applications and other unaffiliated applications. We and our partners use this personal information to enable interest-based advertising you receive through our services and within third-party apps and other marketing channels.

Do Not Track We do not currently respond to browser do-not-track signals. Instead, we adhere to the standards set out in this Privacy Statement and offer the opt-out choices described above.

Children’s Privacy

COPPA Compliance

Safe social Online Inc., and all affiliate sites, comply with all Children Online Privacy Protection Rule’s (COPPA) Laws, Rules, and Regulations. Safe Social Online requires all other entities collecting personal information for minor children under 13 years of age must comply with COPPA rule and regulations to associate with our platform, products, and services.

Safe Social Online, Inc. do not knowingly allow anyone under the age of 17 to provide any personal information online at signup or registering to open an account. Safe Social Online, Inc. standards require parents or legal guardians to enter all information for children ages 5-17. Children should always gain permission from their parents before sharing any personal information about themselves over the internet.

Additional Privacy Information

• Contests and Other Co-Sponsored Promotions. Safe Social Online Inc. from time to time, we may offer contests, or other promotions. Participation in these promotions may require registration on our products or products and services offered on our platform. We don't control these third parties’ privacy practices, and our Privacy Policy Statement does not permit their collection and use of your personal information.

• Security, Retention, and Storage of Personal Information. We use commercially reasonable procedures to protect the personal information that we collect. However, we cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that personal information you supply won’t be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the internet. • Location of Your Data. Safe Social Online, Inc. and your personal information will be transferred to, processed, stored, and accessed by Safe Social Online, Inc. • EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. Safe Social Online, Inc. adheres to the principles of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework (“Privacy Shield Principles”) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union (“EU”) to the United States; however, we do not rely on the Privacy Shield Principles when we transfer or receive personal information transferred from the EU.

Safe Social Online, Inc. is responsible for the processing of personal information it receives under the Privacy Shield Principles or subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Safe Social Online, Inc. complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers from the EU and European Economic Area (“EEA”), including onward transfer liability provisions.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over Safe Social Online, Inc. and our compliance with its obligations under the Privacy Shield Principles. In certain situations, Safe Social Online, Inc. may be required to disclose personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

Safe Social Online, Inc. has further committed to refer unresolved Privacy Shield complaints to JAMS, an established alternative dispute-resolution provider located in the United States. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint from us, or if we have not resolved your complaint, please contact, or visit JAMS or call 800-352-5267 to file a complaint. If the arbitrator finds that you cannot afford to pay JAMS’s filing, administrative, hearing, and/or other fees and you cannot obtain a waiver from JAMS, Safe Social Online Inc., will pay them for you.
